The rooms are well-stocked with climate control, multi-channel TV and a work desk. The staff are really helpful, managed the parking onsite.
The bathrooms are a bit small.

the place is delightful and has prime location close to everything. make sure to get standard king room with much of a view and 2 full beds, for example. the best thing is location - near interstate, restaurants, the freeway. mission valley district definitely deserves exploring. delicious dishes can be found in the attached restaurant.

Apparently, I booked a room that was supposed to have two double beds, when what I really wanted was a room with one. The staff easily changed my room, to one with a single king-sized bed. It was very appreciated.
Everything was great, as far as I'm concerned. The air conditioner/heater would bang after turning off every time though.

Relaxed atmosphere, pool, helpful and polite staff
The room we had booked was not available when we arrived but an alternative was quickly organised

Good pick for a weekend rest in San Diego with all in all great value for money. The first floor rooms have direct access to pet relief areas, super convenient for service animals. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs to block out the noise from the freeway.

It was close to the fashion shopping mall just on the outskirts of San Diego
It was a kind of soul - less place. Just somewhere to lay your head.

The outdoor pool is nice and has security 24/7 which makes it feel safe, the restaurants are decent and bar options are good too. The hotel has a cool old school vibe that actually feels like home unlike some other places that feel too modern and cold.
But the walls are super thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to you.

I was very disappointed with the Handlery Hotel. It was presented as a classy, nice resort. As a matter of fact, it is supposed to be one of the top 3 greatest hotels in San Diego. I felt like the pictures on the website were very misleading; no where near worth $130 a night. In addition, I had to pay $12 to park my car! I will never go back to the Handlery!
